Be assured, Network Marketing is a different formula than the one generally called a pyramid.

The general public tend to view the latter as one where people at the top make all the money, while those at the bottom do all the work. Network Marketing however, is also called, referral marketing, cooperative marketing, MLM or multi-level marketing. It is a business model that is meant to reward you for helping others become successful themselves

People, who are much wealthier than I am, have abandoned what used to be called the "contact friends and family" philosophy, also called the warm market, decades ago because they know it puts undue stress on families and strains relationships. The root cause of this is actually the pitching of a program, or product, without fully understanding it or it's potential.

Folks are often drawn to the network marketing business for financial independence, but in their haste to succeed, they lose track of what the concept is actually all about. Therefore, we must first learn how to develop what I call, a "You" brand, with your network marketing business strategy. Providing useful information, blogs, articles and newsletters, so good prospects will become interested in what you are selling or promoting, effortlessly. You must set the example, and do more than every member of your team. Participate in every webinar you can find pertaining to your business, or even webinars about self-improvement. Attendance in all the events offered by your main company, if you can, is mandatory. If you don’t, why would anyone else on your team? To be a leader, you must be a professional, and get the knowledge about your network marketing offerings so you'll find success to pass onto others. Where oh where, has my upline gone?

This is the most annoying, frustrating, and maddening part of MLM, and Network marketing.

I know more than one time, no matter what program you are involved with, your upline has done a complete disappearing act on you. I case you're new to this term, and upline is the person, persons, or thing that refereed you to what ever marketing community you are participating in.

As a member, you are called the downline. Everyone you bring in under you is called: your downline, and you guessed it, that make YOU their upline. That's the beauty of these systems, no one stays at one level the whole time.

Uplines usually start out with the same enthusiasm as all of us, but something happens along the way. It could be a number of things. The difficulty in bringing in referrals is a big problem. It can shake you confidence in your sales ability, and in the system itself. Having to spend too much on auto-ships can take the luster of quickly, even make you question the products, or services, you are pushing. But, the number one reason I see is laziness on their part.

Let's face it. We all get into these online systems for one main reason. The Good Life! The, I wanna sit around the pool drinking Pina Coladas all day. Who wants to sit on the phone, behind the computer, or in a library somewhere answering the same questions all day? No one.

But, you have to. That's the nature of the business, so make yourself available. Help your downlines, because
remember one thing, they make you other downlines, and that is what it is all about.

Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-83333242813058046512013-03-21T14:09:00.002-07:002013-03-21T14:10:07.907-07:00Is an Autoship Necessary?Marketers new to MLM always ask why do companies require a monthly autoship?

Well, it is Because the members would not buy all of those offersif it was not required of them.

I have had several autoships, and have enjoyed the commissions they brought me, but these same autoships are the reason why many recruits qive up on their MLM opportunity. The autoship requirement gets to a point where it becomes a money drain on their finances. Month after month they pay, but if they can not at least cover their autoship costs with their earnings, then one day they simply say: “I quit!”

Now to limit the pain of paying for an autoship, some MLM companies offer a free component, something like, “your autoship is free if you get 3 customers.” Wow, sounds like a great idea, especially if it is so simple to get customers that anyone can do it, However, there aren't many companies that have a product, or service, with such a huge target market, and a price that is so affordable, that should one of your 3 customers (who is qualifying you for a free autoship) decide to drop out, you'll feel little pain while you're replacing that customer.

But, truthfully, what usually happens to the average person is: They join an MLM company positive that everyone they know, will look at the product, and the income opportunity, with the same open mind, and eagerness, that they had when they were first introduced to it. WRONG! As soon as they realize that it’s going to be harder to recruit other members than they thought, they alter their goals.

The new goal, instead of quitting their job, or the brand new car, or the shopping spree they had planned on, now becomes getting 3 customers, so they don’t have to shell-out for that unrelenting autoship.
That seems like a small goal, and for some folks, it’s easy; but for most, it’s a struggle. They'll listen to their team calls, and watch the training videos, they'll keep their motivation high, trying to get that 3rd one.

Then they will relax. They will feel like they deserve to relax, well maybe they do, but it really is too early to slow down. I liken it to climbing a mountain, and when you finally reach the top, you just relax, but you're there at the very edge of a cliff, because if just one of those three people decides to postpone their autoship, then the free autoship is gone. They’re back paying again. Just imagine this cycle repeating itself over and over again. It’s this kind of frustration that drives people out of the MLM business.

It is my opinion therefor, that selecting a good product, one that you can use yourself, is the way to go. Don't trouble yourself with it being more expensive than somewhere else. This is your business and any money you spend will come to you multiplied.

Here is a company that has many useful products.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-8115580425542632232012-11-25T15:20:00.001-08:002012-11-25T15:23:07.896-08:00It's Not Too LateI just glanced at the calendar and much to my surprise I realize that 2012 is almost over. It's seems like just yesterday I was putting my Winter clothes away and preparing for Spring, and now the warmer outfits are coming back out.

The next wave of terror that hits me is the fact that my year's work is now coming to a close. But, I calm myself, and set my attention to the task at hand: finish 2012 on a positive.

There are 3 steps I will put in place to insure there is no break in my efforts.

1) Keep doing exactly what I am now doing. Like, keeping my posts current, and informative. I can not miss a beat in my routine, it has to be almost automatic. I must always find time to write.

2) Keep up with my online training. It is the bast training I have ever received. The nights are getting longer now, and outdoor activities are over, so I can bury myself in my learning.

3) Continue searching for a mentor. Surrounding oneself with smart people, who have succeeded in our fields of endeavor is what all the "Gurus" do. It is impossible to do everything by yourself, so reach out to the masters of the industry, Leave no stone unturned.

Until next time, stay hungry my friends.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-52201429042124431782012-10-20T22:11:00.000-07:002012-10-20T22:11:56.448-07:00How to succeed in MLMCan you guess what the number one complaint MLMers hear is? It's downlines (folks who sign-up below you) angry that their sponsor (you, the upline) never communicates with them.

Imagine. Would you want to make money for someone who gives no support, or any kind of assistance? Of course you wouldn't. Well, it is the same thing with the affiliates you sponsor. If they feel you do not care about them, they will not want to build their businesses because they will not want to see their hard work benefiting some stranger they never hear from. I'm sure you don't want your downlines feeling the same way.

If you're having success signing-up affiliates and then leaving them to figure MLM out for themselves, just quit your business right now, because you are guaranteeing your own failure. See, every affiliate that you sponsor is a virtual goldmine for you. You must embrace that only if THEY succeed, do YOU succeed. The importance of understanding this rule can't be stressed enough!

I agree it's true that you can't MAKE the affiliates in your downline successful (they must want that for themselves), but don't let them ever say that you weren't there for your affiliates!

The correct start is opening up good lines of communication with all your downlines. This is the way to teach them how to succeed in MLM, and the right way to build relationships with affiliates.

Set up some kind of greeting for your affiliates. This is an easy, automatic way to get off to a great start in building relationships with your affiliates.

After that, you'll want to create some form of regular, ongoing communications, to stay in touch, provide training, and share ideas. I, and many successful MLM experts, recommend a weekly,or maybe even every-other-week, an e-mail using the autosponder system that is supplied by the main compnay. Just enter your message, hit submit, and it automatically sends the message to all of your PSAs (personally sponsored affiliates) and CSAs (co-sponsored affiliates).

If you're new to MLM and/or business in general, you may feel you have nothing to teach your downlines. No sweat. If you take advantage of what I've been sharing in this blog, and following the training most good MLM companies offer, you will learn and grow into the leadership role over time, however, what you must never do, is allow your affiliates to think their sponsor (you) is uncaring. If you do that, if you do not support your affiliates, success will be a thousand times harder to attain.

Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-41913704405057187772012-09-13T10:00:00.001-07:002012-10-09T13:43:09.066-07:00Learning about Internet MarketingInternet marketing is not overly complicated but it is also not a process in which anyone can excel without making attempts to learn more about the subject. Business owners who do not know a great deal about Internet marketing but who wish to implement Internet marketing into their overall marketing strategy should carefully study the basic principles of Internet marketing before launching their online marketing campaign. Fortunately for these business owners there are a variety of options for learning about Internet marketing. These options may include online research, reading published books and studying successful Internet marketing campaigns.

Researching Internet marketing online is one method which can be used for learning more about this topic. This type of research can be very informative and can provide the business owner with a great deal of advice and other information. However, it can also provide the business owner with a great deal of misinformation. When researching any subject online it is very important to note that not all of the information available online is accurate. This may be due to a variety of factors including content which is written by those who do not have a great deal of knowledge about the subject matter as well as content which was written years ago and is outdated. This can be frustrating but fortunately business owners can still learn from the Internet. This just means they should be more cautious about accepting information as being accurate and may wish to verify the information they obtain before implementing an Internet marketing strategy.

Published books are another valuable resource for learning more about Internet marketing. There are a variety of books available which focus on this subject and provide a wealth of useful information. When selecting a book for use as research material it is important to seek out a book which received independent reviews which were positive. It is also important to seek out books which were published recently. This is important because the Internet marketing industry is evolving continuously and a book that was published only a few years ago may be outdated and may lack information on some of the new developments in the industry. The appeal of using published books to learn about Internet marketing is you can keep the books on hand for easy reference when you launch your Internet marketing campaign.

Finally business owners can learn a great deal about Internet marketing simply by studying successful Internet marketing campaigns. Try the Internet marketing blog at My Global Income for some great starter tips. If your business offers products and services in a particular niche consider entering relevant terms in popular search engines and studying the websites of some of the highest ranking businesses. This can provide you with a great deal of insight into what these business owners are doing which may be contributing to their success. Examining everything from their website design to their search engine optimization strategies and even the content on their website can help you to determine why they are more successful than you. You should also consider how they are marketing their website which may include banner ads, affiliate marketing programs or other types of advertising. Armed with this information you can take the opportunity to implement changes to your own website and marketing strategy which may help you to gain a greater degree of success. Care should be taken to not copy anything directly from your competitors but to rather try to emulate their degree of success in your own way.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-4201230208635674662012-09-11T21:01:00.000-07:002012-09-11T21:01:55.225-07:00Internet Marketing for BeginnersInternet marketing for beginners is somewhat of an oxymoron. This is because while in theory the concepts behind Internet marketing might be quite simple, executing effective strategies can be extremely difficult. This can even be tough for those who are quite experienced in the world of Internet marketing. With this in mind, this article will attempt to explain the concept of Internet marketing for beginners and will outline some basic strategies which can help a business owner to launch his own Internet marketing campaign. We will cover concepts such as creating a website, placing banner ads, sending out e-newsletters, orchestrating an email marketing campaign and optimizing your website for search engines.

One of the most basic steps for starting an Internet marketing campaign is to create a website. If you don’t have a website or have a poorly designed website you should consider creating or re-designing a website to adequately market your products. If you do not have experience in web design, there are a number of software packages which make it simple for those with no design experience to create a functional website. However, hiring a web designer is worthwhile because he can work to create a website which is attractive, functional and suitable to your products and series. He can also help you include more advanced features on your website.

Banner ads are another popular option for advertising your business on the Internet. Banner ads are advertisements which typically appear along the top of a website but it may also include smaller ads in other locations. Banner ads typically include graphics and text which entice Internet users to click on the advertisement. Once a user clicks on the ad, they are directed to your website. This type of advertising can be very effective when care is taken to place the advertisements on high traffic websites which attract an audience who may have an interest in your products.

Sending out e-newsletters can also be a part of an effective Internet marketing strategy. E-newsletters are essentially emails which may contain a variety of information including informative articles, useful quizzes, relevant advertising or any other information which is deemed worthwhile for the recipients of the e-newsletter. The importance of these newsletters is that they can be used as marketing tools which are not viewed by the recipients as an advertisement. One way to do this is to incorporate links or other soft sale approaches into the copy of the e-newsletters. However, care should be taken to keep these references minimal so the e-newsletter is not viewed as spam.

Email marketing campaigns can be another successful aspect of an Internet marketing campaign. Email marketing essentially involves sending out emails to a group of individuals who may be interested in your products and services. Care should be taken in sending out these emails to avoid sending emails which are unsolicited and will be viewed as spam. One way to do this is to only send out the emails to users who have requested inclusion on an email mailing list. Another way to do this is to provide value in the emails as opposed to just including advertisements. This can be done by offering relevant advice in your emails and other useful information which may be of interest to the recipients of the email.

Finally, optimizing your website for search engines is a critical aspect of an Internet marketing campaign. Search engines rank websites according to quality and relevance for particular search terms. Many Internet users appreciate the effort by search engines and use these search engines to find the best websites on a particular subject. This means the Internet users are likely to only visit websites which rank well with search engines. Therefore if your website is not high ranking, you are not likely to generate a great deal of traffic from Internet users who use search engines to find relevant websites. Top ranking websites are likely to obtain the most traffic from search engines and all websites falling on the first page of the search engine results will likely enjoy some degree of success in improving their trafficKevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-54401139095519742212012-05-23T10:27:00.000-07:002012-05-23T10:27:44.155-07:00How to fail in MLM marketingHere are a few problems that some new MLM marketing people run into:

1. No Upline support.

Once a person joins a new MLM marketing program, he or she is extremely vulnerable and needs a lot of help from someone, or something.

In many cases, the Uplines are not actively helping them. This happens a lot when the Uplines are simply sponsoring as many people as they can with no regard, or very little, to what happens to them after they get sponsored.

In most standard MLM marketing programs, it is important that the new member gets immediate assistance from a local person, or tools that should be made available. Otherwise their chances for survival are very slim.

2. New MLM marketers cannot sell.

This is probably the major reason why most people are not successful in MLM marketing. If just standard MLM techniques are used, the member has got to sell by learning how to speak at opportunity meetings, seminars, and the like.

3. The MLM'er cannot generate good leads.

Next to the selling problem, this has to be the next biggest reason most people fail in MLM marketing.

Here is a picture of what normally happens: The new person has just signed up in an exciting MLM program. He learns from the manuals, meetings, etc., how he should "share" his product (most program will push the opportunity) with his friends, neighbors and relatives.

Now, most of us are not comfortable with this form of selling, and it will typically lead to many sleepless, tossing and turning, nights. We just don't want to "impose" on our friends! We would feel a lot more comfortable just presenting he product and/or opportunity to strangers.

4. No true duplicative ( I can do it, so can you) system.

If the MLM marketing company is one that must be promoted through expensive methods, it will not be feasible due to financial constraints. After all, most of us get into this business to make money, not spend it. Learning how to sell, or to speak and conduct an opportunity meeting is just not duplicative, it's not something everyone can do with ease. Only a few people have a natural ability to do this.. Here again, is a very important reason a lot of "would be" MLM'ers simply die on the vine.

5. Selling by mail using standard MLM techniques.

The traditional way to market MLM products and programs, is to spend all available spare time to call around, and travel around, to find prospects. A lot of people already have full time jobs, it is hard to find extra time to travel and make phone calls. This is why these MLM marketers cannot keep their program going, and eventually abandon it.

6. The marketer is not sure about the MLM marketing company or service.

Often a person will sign up in a MLM marketing program in a "fit of excitement", attracked by an exciting pitched offer. But, after the dust settles, and he comes down to earth the reality slowly sets in.

Pick an established and financially sound MLM company that is at least two years old with unquestionable products or services. That way, you can feel good about the company and products that you are promoting. There is nothing quite like being able to "tell the complete truth" to your prospective customers.

7. They do not stick with it long enough.

Starting any business takes time, and this is true with an MLM marketing program as well.
By the time you study the program, write for and receive literature, study it and then finally sign up; get more literature, etc. a lot of time has been spent. And then, on top of that, you have to generate your leads.

It will probably take several months before you can expect much of anything to happen to your MLM marketing. So you should set in your mind that you have to stick with this for at least some amount of time. That just makes good business sense.
Very few people seem to have have achieved a high level of success in any MLM business, and even fewer have ever been able to maintain the level of achievements over an extended period of time.

In my opinion, that does not make MLM companies bad. Nor does it make the opportunities they afford the average person as ways to make extra money or even as a way to drastically change your lifestyle.

the Art of MLM lead generation is the way to do that.

First, there are 2 big benefits of MLM lead generation:

1. It gets you out of asking your friends and relatives to get involved in your programs. If you have been in more than one MLM business over the years you may have already approached them and used up your credibility when you were unsuccessful.

2. MLM lead generation is a duplicable way to build your business that you can pass on to your downline. Any successful network marketer will tell you that one of the main components of success is duplication. This way anyone, no matter their skill level, can purchase leads, and easily work them over the phone, or through the internet with the use of an e-mail autoresponder.

Now that you understand some of the benefits of buying MLM lead generation and how to market to them, let us now take a look at the characteristics of the best MLM lead generation result.

1. How many times are the leads sold? Many MLM lead companies sell their leads over and over again. You more that likely will be contacting a prospect that has already been marketed to. Typically, you would want to have leads that are exclusively yours, but they can get expensive.

2. How old are the leads? Would you rather contact a prospect that has expressed an interest in the past 48 hours, or in the past 48 days? Being able to strike while the "iron is hot",is a great benefit of the fresher MLM leads.

3. How many leads do you get for your money? Obviously, the more MLM leads you have generated, the more leads you can buy at a time. This is especially important when you are first starting out, or when you are helping your downline get started.

4. What is the quality of the lead? Well, you are not alone. Many individuals see the potential for building their own business from wherever they happen to be on this planet by means of the Internet.

The online MLM business provides a level playing field and appeals to men and women of all ages as a prospective means of conducting business from the comfort of their home. However, despite the fact that running a business through the Internet can often be less expensive than a traditional business and allows you access to a worldwide market at any time of the day, the truth behind starting an MLM business online is that it can be as stressful as any other business. How can you prepare yourself for this obstacle? Always wear your “game face” because it is a tough game to start an online MLM business. You are guaranteed to experience times when your self-confidence will be shaken, at times you will feel that the task is beyond your abilities and you'll beat yourself up for making mistakes. What you do at this point is : Move on.

It is part of creating any business, and you will have to face these issues whether it is your first attempt or even if you have been in the MLM business online for years.

Changes happen fast on the Internet and that includes changes to businesses. One day you will be amazing yourself and the next day you will think you've been beat. The best solution to this is to expect it, deal with it, and plan to move on despite those feelings.

Don't get caught up in all marketing the hype. Nearly every business can benefit from online MLM business exposure. Are you inspired by the many programs that claim "instant wealth - easy to learn!"? Do not believe it. Regardless of if you have been in business for a long time or this is your first attempt, online MLM business generated through the Internet has it's own methods and you better be ready to learn them if you want to be successful.

The learning curve can be steep and some individuals find it daunting, throw their hands up, and quit. The thing to remember is that it is possible for nearly anyone to operate an MLM business online no matter what their previous experience. Just be prepared to learn and have patience with your attempts. Be careful not to use up all your money. It is easy to forget the need for a budget when you can spend money so easily online. Avoid the temptation to buy into every MLM business opportunity online or training program you are presented with.
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 12pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">A very important tip I learned is to visit online forums to acquire a feel for the best
Consider this. Having
the right skills will get you far in this business, but with the wrong attitude, how long do
you think your personal finance in MLM will stay that way? As with all aspects in life,
there are things needed in life beside just know-how's. So it is not really surprising that
in the world of MLM, attitude is the strongest determinant of your personal finance success.
Business structure, compensation plan, product and training systems are all very important,
but without the right attitude, they are just tools lying unused in a tool box, they don't
end up building any real-time personal finance in MLM.
It makes sense for those who are new to building personal finance in MLM to focus on this
all-important aspect, that is, if they want to be successful.
The only question left is what kind of attitude you should focus on.
What I say is : Be coachable.
There's no quicker way to fail in the world of MLM personal finance than to walk into a
business assuming you already know what is going to work and what would not.
It is true that different people have different strengths. And different methods work better
for some than for others. But it is important to remember that if great profits have been
made in MLM personal finance, they can be made again.
Get alongside as many of your successful upline as you can. Ask them how you can make your
business work, listen to what they say, and then follow through on their suggestions.
If something does not seem to be working, get alongside them again. Ask them what you could
be doing differently, rather than assuming the concept itself is flawed.
Understand your purpose.
While there may well be people who get into MLM because they genuinely enjoy the challenges
of the sales process, most sign up in this business because it had potential to help them
achieve something big in their personal finance and in their lives.
Whether these people saw the potential to provide for their families, to create a
financially secure future for themselves, or just to finally be debt-free, there is
something in the original opportunity that inspired them to get involved.Their own purpose.
A big part of motivating people to do the work that needs to be done in MLM is keeping that
purpose at the forefront of their minds. If a person wants to get there, he or she got to do
what it takes. Stay positive.
Achieving MLM personal finance success is related to developing the ability to stay
positive.
Like anything else, there will be ups and downs along the way. Staying positive through the
downs would not just make you more successful in the long run; it will make life far more
enjoyable while you are getting there.
There you have it. The three keys to developing an attitude that will lead you to your MLM
personal success. The great thing about attitude determining your success? It is the one
thing you have complete control over. You may not be able to do anything to change your
company's business structure, compensation plan, product or training systems, but you can
always change your attitude.
Make a commitment to yourself. Learn what you need to learn to change what you need to
change. Your MLM personal finance success will depend on it.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-59686143137242056222012-02-06T21:41:00.000-08:002012-02-06T21:41:43.537-08:00Networking through AlliancesNetworker's know that you always get back more from your network then you have to give to it. However, that should not stop you from thinking about new ways you can help the people in your network. Your network is full of people who would like to partner with you, though neither of you may have approached the idea or formalized a plan. Here are some suggestions for ways that you can form strategic alliances with other businesses in your network.
BNI (Business Networking International) coined the phrase “giver's gain”, which basically means that if you give referrals, leads or resources the recipients will want to repay you somehow. The problem is that as your network grows, it will become increasingly difficult to give referrals to everyone in your network.
This is somewhat counter intuitive because most people would think that as they add contacts to their network it will be easier to refer the new members of your network to each other. However, if you know five accountants it is difficult to refer to all five of them equally. One way to give back to your network is to develop a number of strategic alliances.
There are a few basic steps you should follow to help ensure that your new alliances are effective. First, be sure to think about what you want the alliance to accomplish. Are you simply trying to reach new potential customers? Or are you also trying to reduce your marketing costs? In general, think about the goals of the alliance. Here are some things you might want to consider.
- You will get access to the networks of your partners.
- You will get to associate your business with another, potentially, more established brand.
- You can decrease your overall marketing costs, while expanding your reach.
- You can learn from other businesses. What has been successful for them in the past?
Next you should think about who you want to partner with. If you are a Realtor, you might think of mortgage originators or real estate attorney's that you could partner with. Bear in mind that your partner does not have to have the same goals are you, but they should be complementary. Here are several ways you can potentially form and alliance with another business.
- Create an alliance with a customer - Creating a mutually beneficial relationship with a key customer can strengthen the relationship and reduce your risk of losing this key customer.
- Create an alliance with a market leader – If you are a small business, you may be able to reap hue rewards from partnering with the market leader in your area. You may be able to offer a level of local penetration that a big company may have trouble creating on it's own. The alliance may not offer a huge financial incentive for the small business but you can leverage the alliance in your own marketing program. If you are the market leader, consider partnering with a young, eager business that might be able to offer you this type of market penetration.
- Create an alliance with a non-profit organization – You might be able to create an alliance with a trade organization or local community organization, which offer not only direct rewards, but also in-direct rewards from helping a good cause.
- Create an alliance with a former employer – Your company may offer a service that complements the services offered by a former employer.
- Create an alliance with a competitor – while you have to pay very close attention to detail when partnering with a competitor, you might be able to tap into their resources to extend your reach. They might be a competitor, but may not have the specific expertise that you do. For example, many people would consider Yahoo! and Microsoft's MSN internet portal to be competitors, but MSN recognized Yahoo! Strengths in keyword driven advertising and started featuring Yahoo! Ads with their search results. Of course, MSN is now developing their own contextual advertising system, which means the partnership is coming to an end soon.
- Create an alliance with a parallel industry – simply stated, find another business in your market but that is not a direct competitor and then team up to market to the same customer base. Each company can pitch in financially and see incremental results from their marketing activities.
Planning out exactly how the alliance will work is the next step. You and your partner should clearly outline what each party is going to be responsible for and how results are going to be monitored. Be sure to discuss the costs involved in the alliance and make sure that each party has a clear understanding of what all of the costs will be. Here are some ideas to consider.
- Ask your partner to display your literature and/or products. A Realtor may be able to display brochure from a mortgage broker in their office or include it in the packet of information they present new clients.
- Ask your partner to link to your website from theirs. An accounting firm may be able to place a link to your financial planning practice on their website.
- Include your brochure in a partners mailings. A delivery company might be willing to include your brochure in the invoices they send to their customers each month.
- Develop joint marketing materials that promote both businesses and share the expenses of implementing the plan. For example, a handyman and a landscaper may develop a direct mail piece that promotes both companies and then each company can contribute to the mailing expenses.
- Develop a “preferred partner” program that offers customers a financial incentive to buy products in tandem from two companies at once. For example, a car dealership might form a partnership with a service station and offer maintenance bundled with the purchase price of a car. A health club may offer a joint membership to a local tennis or pool club.
- Develop a seminar with another business – develop a educational seminar program with a business in your industry and then market the events as a team.
- Publish news about the businesses you have developed an alliance with.
- Introduce your new partners to your key clients. Perhaps you can invite your partner to events you are involved in.
- Serve as a sponsor for events your partners are involved in.
Once you have set up your alliance and implemented your plan, it is critical that the lines of communication stay open and that you pay attention to the relationship you have formed. Check in with your partner to make sure they are happy with the way things are going.
Set up a weekly meeting or conference call with your partner and go through a progress report. You may also find it helpful to create a “report card” for your project before it begins. Base your report card on the goals you laid out early in the relationship and then revisit it over time. By laying out the goals in advance, each person involved with the project will understand what is expected of them. In addition, it is harder to ignore setbacks and bumps in the road if expectations are fully developed and everyone is on the same page before the project begins.
The most common mistakes involve failing to clearly communicate through each stage of the alliances growth. Think about the overall value proposition, where each parties goals are aligned and mismatched, the level of commitment or excitement from each party. Always think about how the alliance can become a win-win for everyone involved. If you do not think you can really add value, don't participate because you do not want to damage your credibility. Finally, if the alliance simply does not add measurable value to your business, do not participate.
Creating these formal alliances will help you develop and strengthen the relationships you already have. Power networkerscan create multiple alliances with multiple members of their network. These alliances have the added benefit of allowing you to add value to a number of businesses without having to actually give specific referrals to a number of businesses individually.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-86269236093063779462011-12-12T19:58:00.000-08:002011-12-12T19:58:16.932-08:00Multilevel marketing is picking up a lot of steamMultilevel marketing, also know as network marketing, is picking up a lot of steam. This is due in large part to the amount of people online that are hyping network marketing, and all of the profits that go along with it. And if you are interested in this type of marketing, you should not have any problem finding information online to help you get started. The bottom line is that MLM is here to stay. As soon as a decent amount of people started to cash the number of interested parties began to increase. And with this has come the notion that network marketing is not going anywhere. If you are not familiar with what multilevel marketing can do for you, you should bone up on the details as soon as possible.
Generally speaking, MLM is a way to make money when you sign people up for a certain service or product. And to take this a bit further, you can also make money when the people that you sign up recruit members of their own. So in general terms, you will make money with a pyramid type effect. For people that are interested in multilevel marketing, the best place to start searching is online. There are hundreds of companies that you can sign up with in order to make money. Just make sure that what you are doing is legal. There are many MLM schemes out there that are not legal in the majority of the states. You can avoid this without any complications by getting hooked up with a network marketing campaign that is run by a reputable company.
Look Into The Benefits
If you are not sure if a MLM business is right for you, look into the benefits that it offers.
Ask Questions
There are many online forums devoted to the industry. By becoming a member you can ask questions of more experienced multilevel marketers. They will be able to give you advice on where to start, and how to progress.
Read Upon MLM Industry
Simply put, you will want to read up as much as you can on the MLM industry before you get started. Just like anything else, the more that you know about something the better chance you have of being a success. Since network marketing is relatively new, it is very important that you are familiar with the industry as a whole. Multilevel marketing is definitely here to stay. There are enough people out there making money that the popularity will always be high. For people that are searching for a way to make cash online, multilevel marketing is always a good option. Overall, try out MLM if you are interested in a new way to make money online.
Whatever products they offer, MLM companies use essentially the same formula. They sign up sales representatives by offering them the opportunity to go into business for themselves with little or no start-up capital--and to make millions if
they're successful. How? Mainly by recruiting other salespeople. Unlike most businesses, an MLM company pays you a commission not only on your sales but also on the sales of all the people you've brought into the network, either directly
or indirectly. So if someone you recruit goes out and recruits a bunch of terrific salespeople--and they recruit more terrific salespeople--you stand to make a fortune. In fact, some people do.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-1802474842252368092011-09-04T22:15:00.000-07:002011-09-04T22:15:28.430-07:00MLM training? Get a coach!MLM training? Get a coach!

Many people are still saddled with antiquated MLM
training and ideas of how the old multilevel
companies were run in the 60’s and 70’s. Remember
that we are already in the new millennium people.
The trainings in MLM that we have today had already
grown pass those times.
Some of the more successful marketers have the fortune
to have undergone the proper MLM training to make them
more profitable than others. What is the one secret
they have learned in MLM training?
The secret is choosing a team with an experienced coach who will
teach, guide and motivate you towards success.
Of course there are other factors to consider such as
the financial backing of the company, timing, the
compensation plan and marketing a consumable product.
But if you are not properly trained and motivated during
those early months you are almost doomed to failure.
But think about it. Every professional businessperson or
athlete has a coach to aid in the training. Why should
it be different in MLM marketing?
In MLM marketing, you can start your business for less
than $500 and literally choose the coach or leader who
will be training you. Of course this will involve doing
a little background check on the team leader you choose
to work with. But in the end, it will be a time worth
spending.
Here are a few pointers that will help you when seeking
out the “correct coach” who will assist you in your MLM
training.
1. Make sure that he or she has a proven track record.
A gifted leader will also prove his or her worth in the
results produced. Generally speaking, you will not rise
higher than your leader, so know how high you want to
reach and find a coach who can get you there.
2. Go with someone who has been training in MLM for many
years.
You want a leader who will be like the northern
star; bright and steady. Those who are successful network
marketers are people who stay for the long haul. Many
people give up too quickly and never reap the harvest.
Choose a leader who has experienced some bumps in MLM and
can now be selective in choosing a company that is most
likely to remain out of the MLM graveyard.

3. Find someone who knows how to market.Network marketing
is just that: marketing through networking. An essential
part of the equation therefore is the effective marketing
of your business.
Marketing can eat up a small budget
very quickly. Therefore, you must learn from the MLM
training works from what does not work so that you can use
your advertising dollars most effectively.
The name of
the game is maximum returns for your money. Leverage is
the whole idea behind network marketing. This translates
into small effort and great gain.
Find someone who can train you on how to use MLM tools such
as teleconferencing, voicemail, direct mail, the Internet
and broadcast media. This is a business so you have to treat
it like one.
4. Find someone who continuously studies the industry.
Anyone who claims to be a professional will subscribe to
magazines in his area of expertise, attend seminars to keep
abreast of what’s happening and keep his MLM training pulse
on the industry.
Choose wisely. The right opportunity and
company may be the vehicle to your success but an effective
MLM training coach is like gas in your tank.Kevin Bruhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12075377358384635092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517877515571412176.post-67227114581193092642010-09-01T09:50:00.000-07:002011-01-19T08:04:56.514-08:00My Global Income PlaceOk, here is my new blog.
